Compost Sandwich Planting

Some good ideas are born out of necessity. Some are born out of desperation. Some show up because we're impatient and want to cutout steps in the process. Cutting out steps in the process doesn't always work, but sometimes it's awesome.

Cherstin hit on a great idea for speeding up the onion planting this year: instead of putting down compost, making a furrow to put the onions in, and then covering everything back up, what if you lay out the onions and then just dump the compost on top? It seems to have worked out pretty well.
